The plot takes place in the university of "Latinia", a fictitious city in South America. Carlos, a young man who comes from a rich family, makes friends with young communists resulting in fights with his parents. Carlos' father is an influential man in Latinia, and is refusing to let Americans come and control businesses in his country, because the financial aid sent by the U.S. government is used in corruption. The play "The Tiger" is being shown in town and communist students get invited to see it.
After having seen the play, Carlos' father comes to him and asks forgiveness for his attitude. His changed attitude is the starting point of a new and honest atmosphere between the protagonists.
