This documentary tells the remarkable story of Leif Hovelsen - freedom fighter, statesman, author, peace activist and ambassador...and son of Carl Howelsen, the father of recreational skiing in Colorado. It includes his struggle at the hands of the Gestapo in a Nazi concentration campand a tale of forgiveness that he has since relayed to peace conferences around the world. For a nation at war on multiple fronts, Leifs poignant story becomes especially timely in both US and world history.

Since 1949 Leif has volunteered full-time for Moral Rearmament renamed Initiatives of Change in 2001, the non-profit world peace organization based in Caux, Switzerland.
